The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) opens the door for people who are already working in Canada as a temporary worker or student to become a permanent resident. Permanent residents are entitled to live, work and study in Canada on a permanent basis. One of the objectives of the CEC is to increase the supply of skilled workers in Canada. For many international graduates, the CEC may be the fastest option to achieve permanent resident status. 

Canadian Experience Class applications are processed through the Express Entry selection system for immigration to Canada. Eligible candidates must make an expression of interest in immigrating to Canada, create an online Express Entry profile, and receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence before they may make an application.
